Tasting jenever – Moving fast forward on the water – Typically Dutch diner € 137,50 p.p.

Starting with lunch at the special Hotel New York, the iconic building on the Kop van Zuid, that shines from 1901. Where previously the Holland America Line was housed, now houses the hotel-restaurant Hotel New York. A building with a great history.

After that we are invited at Ketel 1. In 1691 Joannes Nolet decides to start a distillery in Schiedam, despite the threat of war with France! Nowadays this company is a source of inspiration for one of the oldest family businesses in the Netherlands. Today the 10th and 11th generation Nolet shows that modern entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with respect for tradition. We will get some fresh air afterwards during a boat trip in the harbour of Rotterdam and we end this day with a dinner at a famous Dutch restaurant, or you can choose to have diner at a Tablers house by joining the homeparty! Afterwards you can meet the rest at the Afterparty.

Farewell Lunch on Sunday

 

Dutch Olympics € 25,00 p.p.

Sunday (1st of September) before going home, we want to make your AGM experience even more exciting. We will play traditional Dutch games, we have typical dutch snacks, you can dress up with our traditional clothing and we will have Dutch music. The games will be played in teams and of course the winning team goes home with a medal and the neverending stardom of being the best ‘Dutch’ Lady.

These Dutch Olympics are a tribute to our service project Women Win (www.womenwin.org) and with participating you donate to this wonderful project.

The Farewell Lunch is not included in the full package, so don’t forget to book it with your registration. Register now as we have limited places for this special event.

Tours

 

  • 1. Rotterdam +  Spido Boat tour: €39,50  p.p. (duration  3 hrs.)

 The guide will pick up the ladies at the Intell Mainport Hotel in Rotterdam and take them for a walk along special places in old and new Rotterdam and Delfshaven. The route ends at the departure point of the Spido boat. This is 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Data: 28th and 29th August, 1st September (English) special tour in French on 29th August.

Boat tour: 11.45 am Spido dock, Willemsplein 85, duration 75 minutes

  • 2. Bike tour Edam and Volendam with photostop and visit Eel-farm: €127,50  p.p. (duration approx 7 hrs.)

We arrive at Marina Volendam, where the bikes will be waiting. The English speaking guide will take you to Edam for a tour by bike, about 5 miles. Edam not only has a rich history in the field of cheese. It all started in the 12th century, when farmers and fishermen settled on the river IJe. From this simple settlement the town of Edam later emerged, which experienced a steadily increase in prosperity well into the 17th century.

You continue by cycling back direction Volendam for a walk through the Maze and the Harbour, the guide tells you all about the old fishing village of Volendam, located on the IJsselmeer. It is well known for the beautiful harbour, the fish trade, the authentic Dutch character and the traditional costumes. Of course we make a photo with the group in costume and you will receive this as a souvenir. We conclude the tour with a visit at an eel smokehouse, where you will have the opportunity to taste eel.

  • 3. Bike & Bite: €67,50 p.p. (duration 4 hrs.) 

During this tour we stop five times for a real Rotterdam bite and / or drink. While we cycle through the city you been shown the highlights and we tell nice stories about Rotterdam. The snacks are comparable to a big lunch, below a selection of the different stops:

Homemade banana bread on a roofer / Fresh soup in the living room of the inner road / Oriental tapas with cornbread in the Foodhal on Katendrecht / Glass of pear cider / Handmade bonbon with the oldest chocolatier in the city / Real Rotterdam cheese with a glass of port in the Markthal / Truffel croquettes in the haute friture / Sandwich chicken curry at the Surinam toko / Witte chocolate almond biscuits at the best sweet thing in Rotterdam

  • 4. Citysafari: €59,50 p.p. (duration 4 hrs.) Groups travel individually!

We invite you for a personal meeting with unique persons: a refugee, a veteran, a violin builder, a storyteller, a social initiative… You pick the meeting, we make sure that you’re expected.

The districts of Oude Westen, Middelland and Nieuwe Westen were built around 1900 for labourers in the expanding Port of Rotterdam from the rural provinces of Brabant and Zeeland and later from the rest of the world. In these districts of great diversity the inhabitants welcome you in their homes, shops, workshops, houses of worship and their initiatives and institutions.

  • 5. Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans / Jordaan Walk: €107,50 p.p. (duration 8,5 hrs.)

After the bus trip from Rotterdam the guide is waiting at the Zaanse Schans. The Zaanse Schans is a residential area where the 18th and 19th century revive. Walk past the bakery museum and enjoy the smell of fresh cakes, or take a look inside the warehouse where clogs are made. You should not miss out on the cheese factory, tin foundry and the various windmills. The Zaanse Schans is a unique part of the Netherlands, full of wooden houses, windmills, barns and workshops. After 2 hours we drive to Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, a cruise with lunch can not be missed and the guide will take you through a beautiful Jordaan area of Amsterdam during a walk.

  • 6. Gouda + Dutch Stroopwafel workshop & free time: €59,50 (duration 6 ½ hrs.)

In Gouda we walk with the guide to the ‘Stroopwafel’ workshop. The ‘Stroopwafel’ is a typical Dutch sweet delicacy. The workshop lasts about 45 minutes. After the workshop, there is enough time to explore the city on your own and have lunch. Gouda is world famous for its cheese, syrup waffles, pipes and earthenware. The compact historic city center with many sights, authentic shops, small medieval streets, the canals and the many courtyards is worth a visit. With great interest the group will be divided into two groups. The first group has the workshop in the morning and free time in the afternoon free time. The second group has free time in the afternoon and the workshop in the morning.

  • 7.  Delft + Porceleyne Fles: €52,50 (duration 7 ½ hrs.)

Arrived in Delft you walk with the guide 2 km to De Porceleyne Fles. The Porceleyne Fles is a pottery factory, founded in 1653 in Delft and nowadays also as a museum to visit. Delfts Blauw pottery is produced. It is one of the smallest shares listed on the stock exchange. At the Royal Delft Experience you will discover the complete history and production process of Delftware. Experience the painters’ passion during a painting demonstration, admire our Delft blue museum and walk through the factory where craftsmen are still producing.

After the visit, the guide takes you back to the center of Delft where you can to discover the city on your own. Discover the true story of Willem of Orange, get up close and personal with Johannes Vermeer. There is enough time to have lunch on your own.

  • 8. Zeeland. Incl. Deltawerken, oysters & mussels in Yerseke €139,50 (duration 9 hrs.)

Discover and taste the black gold from Zeeland. A complete day out in combination with a visit to the mussel and oyster culture in Yerseke with a walk to the harbour and oyster pits.

You will be welcomed at Deltapark with a cup of coffee and a Zeeland bolus. You can visit all exhibitions and the Delta Experience on your own. Then you can view everything with your own eyes during the guided tour through the inside of the Storm Surge Barrier under the guidance of an expert guide. Around noon we serve you cooked mussels with French fries and salad, accompanied by a suitable glass of wine or beer.

After lunch will leave for Yerseke where you will be welcomed by an expert guide to visit the heart of the oyster and mussel culture.

  • 9. Abseiling from the Euromast: €65,- p.p.

Get your adrenaline kick bij Abseiling and have a look over the city of Rotterdam! You go up by elevator to the platforms at 100 meters. You get a harness, gloves and a comprehensive instruction. Then you climb over the edge and face the instructor. He will explain how to use the ropes and how to slow down. The speed of your descent is up to you! The abseil from the Euromast is a special one for there is no wall to push off from with your feet. You are in midair on a rope!

Meanwhile you can chat with the instructor who will be guiding you along the way. And, of course, you will enjoy the view and the adrenaline!

  • 10. Visit Windmills on Kinderdijk

Adventure in Windmill Wonderland. Experience the history of our struggle against the water. The windmills of Kinderdijk have kept the water at bay for centuries. Enjoy an inspiring windmill adventure full of spinning sails, the creaking of wooden machines, and real millers working to keep our feet dry!

You can visit Kinderdijk with the ‘Waterbus’ which leaves at the Erasmusbrug.

Waterbus is the biggest public aquatic transportation company in the Netherlands. We operate in the region of the province of South Holland and carry around 1.9 million passengers every year! Step on board in modern Rotterdam, the largest harbour in Europe, or in historic Dordrecht where the history of our democracy began.
